I,
Away two weeks
On the errands of life.
Returning to new weed growth,
Peas popping up,
Lilacs gone by.
And you?
You sit smug
In your crystal cave
Beside your lava splash,
Never changing,
Only gathering:
Dust.

  2. Can we ever really capture a moment of beauty for all time? Even the beutiful get old, and objects of wonder gather dust, eventually.

A lovely moment in time -- your thoughts and the little glass paper weight. Interesting how when we return home from a journey - we are thankful for the little things that make up the corners of our minds and speak home.

    Nice magpie.

  13. This new mode fengshui lifestyle has found it's way into your zen-like poetry. Simply beautiful. Full of life! (I've got to learn how to do this to; trim the fat from my excesses that waste precious enlivenment...got me going too).

  15. Hmm, maybe I should plant those globes in my yard. I much prefer dusting to weeding. Nice post.
