There once was a rooster named Clyde
Who made all the other cocks hide.
His crow was so gusty
With thoughts ever lusty;
To the stew-pot the old lady cried!

    "Ayup," said the old coot named Walt
    as he heard of the fowl assault.
    "I told you you'd go
    to the pot if you crow,"
    And he tossed the old lady the salt.
