After lunch (see entry below), we went to the Atomic Museum.

It is a terrific place with tons if info relating to nuclear energy. However it might be boring to teenagers, so we were alloted only 1/2 hr. to peruse the displays, and sure enough, in just about a half an hour we noticed the kid migrating to the gift shop. Time to move on to the next venue.

From the Atomic Museum to "Old Town" was just a few blocks so we walked. We spent a couple of hours in "Old Town" perusing the local shops, looking for photo ops, touring the rattle snake museum, witnessed a wedding at the local church and as one is wont to do on a hot summer's day; we sampled the wares of the local icecream shop.

That's all for today. Blogger limits. Dinner at the lodge.

This was part of day 1, there is more to come;-)

a la prochaine

I've never been to New Mexico (only places I've been to in the States is Philadelphia, Atlantic City and Niagara Falls, NY) but it's certainly a place I'd love to visit...love the architecture there! When I go somewhere, I love to visit the "old" part of town.
