Bercy, France

My Laptop's screen is on the fritz. From time to time over the last week it has been acting up. It gets the heebee-jeebees and the whim-whams, making it impossible to read or to post. At this current moment only the lower third of the screen is affected but for the past two days 3/4 of the screen has been squiggly (he says with furrowed brow.)
I will be able to do some limited posting from work. Until I can find and purchase a new laptop I'll be catching up on my reading and writing. Ah, that would be eyes on paper and pencil on paper. (Heresy, I know ;-))
Currently reading: Gladys Taber's Stillmeadow SEASONS.

Maybe I'll have a new computer on the first day of autumn, which also happens to be my birthday ;-)

Have a lovely time reading and writing, lol!

Sounds like your computer is certainly on the way out, most frustrating, I know. Good luck with the hunt for a new one.

Talk to you soon

Hope the first day of autumn brings not only your birthday but also a really good new laptop. Reading and writing are great pleasures too and you'll enjoy them more without the computer tugging at your sleeve. Relax and enjoy your book.I'll look forward to regular posts from you again soon.

Hope you have a wonderful birthday - the 22nd or 21st? And hope the laptop gets sorted. It's so annoying when computer problems develop. Lovely photos. Enjoy your book! And next time you're in Paris, maybe your wife and I will hit the fleamarkets. :)

Like everyone else here, I hope that the desired laptop arrives for your birthday. Having said that, however, much as I love my computer in many ways, it's not on equal terms in my mind with books or pen and paper writing. Nor will it ever be. So, when that new computer does arrive, don't let it totally replace the stuff that doesn't require electricity or typing skills, okay? ;)
