The quote is right on the money. Some of my high school teachers had that attitude and it's no coicidence that they were my favourites, and the ones from whom I learned the most. Not that exams scared me, but memorizing material just to pass exams isn't real learning.

Gorgeous picture, too. Reminds me of the wooded areas of the pasture on the family farm, which were my favourite haunts in my growing up years. Sigh, now you've made me all homesick. Thanks a lot! ;)

I've never been very good at standardized tests, but I try to educate myself every day.

Beautiful trees. The color here is almost gone.

I'm guessing you and D are now on your way to Quebec City...I love the old part of the city, all cobblestone streets and old world charm. Make sure you take a ride in the "caleche" which is the horse drawn carriage:-) J'espere que tu a du beau temps!!

Now that is a terse statement explaining education! If one doesn't get it, then one does not deserve to be educated, right?

Enjoy your journey to Quebec!

I wish more educators had that attitude!
It is a good philosophy outside of the classroom as well!
