The prompt for One Deep Breath:

Week 36 - Dusk/ Twilight

Prompt: This week's focus is on the time of day when the sun is beginning to set and when much of the world begins to settle in for a rest.

Day slides out of sight.
Goodbye to one hemisphere,
Good'ay down under.

In a bath of gold
Last light beckons us westward.
Silver lights the dark.

Dusk signals day's end.
Beams of light linger transiently.
Kaleidoscope sky.

Beautiful pic and poem Rel. I always think of evenings as a time when people are home in their warm cozy houses, in their joggers or whatever is comfy, and getting something tasty for dinner, then watching a little tv or reading a good book or getting online. Sounds like a good evening aye?

i especially like the second verse because of the poetic conflict between gold and silver.

in response to the picture:

though vibrant at first
colors washing out to gray
upon dusk's canvas

Gidday to you too mate!
Great sunset. I like the idea of sunset in one place, sunrise in another - a mirror image that captures that special something about this wonderful planet of ours.
