Today my brother turns 53: Happy Birthday Jeff!
Some weeks you write up a storm.
Some weeks you work your ass off.
I like my work, I really do. No, really!
Schaefer says: " I was talking to a patient who works as a dealer at the cassino. She said it's a great job; they get a twenty minute break every hour. There are five tables and six dealers."
Asked why so many breaks, she replied: "when dealing with money the owners want the dealers sharp so they make fewer mistakes."
"So rel, how many breaks do you get when dealing with peoples lives in the middle of the night?"
"Fuck you Schaefer! ;)"

that has always been one of my pet peeves about the medical community... doctors on call 24-72 hours with no sleep,, nurses running for 12-16 hours with no real breaks and back in in the morning... you would think they would find the time to make sure their people are well maintained,, but instead they have made a history out of doing exactly the opposite......
think of all the malpractice insurance they wouldn't need if medical professionals weren't so damn tired.....
oh yeah.. and happy blogoversary... mine 500 was the end of last month,, but i didn't notice till well after the fact....
