Gratitude Tuesday
I'm thankful that I fall asleep instantly.
I'm thankful that I wake up.
I go to sleep at eight o'clock pm
I awake at twelve midnight.Totally awake, mind akimbo with thoughts of yesterday today and tomorrow.
I'm wide awake. Refreshingly awake.
I fall asleep at two thirty am.
I wake at three thirty: one half hour before my alarm will ring.I arise disjointed,
Mentally and physically sluggish.
I start the day;
Healthy?But tired?
Thank you for another day!

Aaah sleep, my favourite part of the day. Usually.
The last couple of nights I have been laying awake for too long.
Must be the moon calling me...
i sleep funny too.. it is ok on my days off but kind of gets in the way when i know i have to be at work at seven... luckily for me,, today is the last day this week and i will be able to do my little cat nap thing for four days unhindered by work...
just want you to know how much i value you as a friend and fellow blogger rel.....
Oh, I can so relate to that feeling, Rel. I sympathise with you.
I wish I could fall asleep instantly. But I'm glad that usually once I'm asleep, I don't wake up again until my alarm goes off. I'm also glad that I wake up every day. I love my life.
I can usually fall asleep right away but like you, wake up once or twice during the night and am up for an hour or two before being able to go back to bed. I just accept it and don't fret too much about it, as long as I get a few hours, then I'm happy:-) xox
Maybe it's the changing season?
Who knows.
My sleep habits are all afluff too right now.
...so, is that image an M.C. Escher? I have one of his works hanging on the wall over my desk; in between two Van Goghs.
Mind bending.

Scarlett,
I can't find the author of the "window paradox". It is Escher like, but I have "M.C. Escher: His Life and Complete Graphic Work". and it is not included.
I found it doing a google image search for paradox.

'i am thankful that I wake up'
I think when we start saying this Rel, it truly means we are over the hill! ( i thank god each day for another one!)
I also fall asleep instantly, but don't have the fitful night you seem to be having. Have you tried going to sleep later?? Maybe between 8-12 your body thinks it just had a nap?
great post :)
And all this time I thought I was unusual with my sleep patterns. It takes me awhile to fall asleep be it at the beginning of the night, or the middle. It is a nice feeling, though, to know you've been afforded another day when the sun rises. :)
