What!!?? You nearly became a priest?! Wow what a great memory you have! I enjoyed reading your memories - they come across so clearly! I too remember Monday August 12th 1963; but for different reasons; that was the day my family moved from my small hometown to another locale. That day it rained harder than I had ever experienced before in my ten years - it was some sort of symbol I could see. Orepuki (the name of our hometown) was giving us a real southerly send off. Ah. The memories. And the whims of choices made and followed. Enjoy your wallow in memorabilia. I'm certainly looking forward to the next instalment.
