The sun was
Up this morning;
Now hiding under
The quilted sky.

The angry river,
Quieter now,
It’s undercurrent
Still displayed
Across it’s surface.

And the reservoir
Awaits patiently
For busy hands
To return.

I like the waiting reservoir! This poem takes me far away and returns me in three short stanzas. Very nice!

Beautifully evocative. I love the quilted sky, the river's undercurrent / Still displayed / Across it's surface. Must have been some angry. ;)

Great poem!

Very nice. Very clear and concise yet extremely eloquent. This poem says so much in the three short stanzas. I've read it over and over again. Excellent and beautiful piece of writing.
