Falseface ... it's what we called our Halloween masks when we were kids ... I love seeing that word again after all these years.Beautifully written, Rel.
Such a myriad of "false faces" we employ and manipulate on this journey through life - some the result of kindness, some the result of insecurity, some the result of outright fear, but nevertheless... Enjoyed this Rel.

Reminds me of the masked balls which were all the rage in past times; lots of fear and trepidation on the dancefloor!
