Old photos. NaPoWriMo #6 a triolet

Old photos our memories hold
Of our DNA passed on down.
Does my son possess my mold?
Old photos our memories hold,
Our great's and grand's stories told,
with twinkling eyes, uncomely frown.
Old photos our memories hold
   Of our DNA passed down.

this is lovely- I can look at our family's old photographs and see that I and my children are echos of our family DNA

Very nice! My only hope is that I can pass some good trait on although I'm not sure what that trait is. God bless.

I come from a HUGE family and looking back at old photographs it amazes me to see how the gene covers generations. My nephew Stuart, who doesn't really look like his brothers, is the spit of his great grandad in the old school photo!

One the DNA theme. I'm an identical twin - could I frame her for murder?

A lovely Triolet, one of my favorite formats! Amazing what old images reveal, who we look like, what family traits inherited, do we look more like one side than the other? I enjoyed this capture!

I like the way the repitition in the poem matches the repitition of family characteristics through the generations

People usually look so uncomfortable in those old photos--but it's great to see them!
