 Day's beginning creeps
   coldly over the horizon,
Chilling my nares;

   besides underwear.

   Cold nights, warm days.
Maple serum fills an evaporator.

Brisk steps glide me to my stop,
   A mile plus a third,
At refrigerator temps.

Better to be nippily in the AM
   Than soppy later on.
Bring your backpack for stuffing
   Over what you wore;
And nothing more.
