Sea-sand brings ashore
Remnants of lives from our past.
Patiently awaits.
Intrepid pulling
Moon rythmn ebbs high then low.
Heart's emotion too.
Sea gales whipped roil
Boats heave, break, join Davey Jones.
Watery grave, Amen.
Sand grains
From time's beginning
Lay at our feet.

all of these are truly stunning, rel, but i must say my jaw dropped at the line "Watery grave, Amen"
and the "sand grains" one too..heck, i just loved them all :-)
i found these haiku so thought provoking - the power, intensity and enduring strength of the sea are all evoked so well. thanks for introducing me to that fantastically dark painting too!
the sand bringing the past ashore is an amazing image.
All these Haiku produce strong images but I love the last one, somehow that thought joins us all together over the generations - right to the beginnings of this earth. It's a rather comforting idea. Been hors de combat these last few days, some horrid virus:(
I miss the sea and the beach. It's hard not to feel land locked in Iowa.
So beautiful put together dear Rel...the sands of time could truly tell a story! xox
I like the circular feel to this.
Really like that last one.
Rel, these are truly beautiful.
This poems seems apt for the full moon. The night is so bright and clear here at the moment...I love it!
Really enjoyed the Davey Jones. Especailly teh watery grave and teh sea gales imagery.
